Location: Mar Monte Hotel - Santa Barbara, CA

Salary Range: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

Primary Mission

You will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all corridors and public areas according to our standards, ensuring guest satisfaction and safety.

Scope of Work & Team

• Report to the Director of Housekeeping/Housekeeping Manager
• Support the housekeeping team in daily tasks

Responsibilities

• Walk assigned floors at beginning and end of shift; remove newspapers, service trays, trash, linens; note areas needing immediate cleaning.
• Clean public areas such as hallways, elevators, stairwells following safety procedures.
• Remove soiled linen, terry, and trash; lift, push, pull at least 50 lbs.
• Assist section housekeepers as needed.
• Report missing articles, damages, or merchandise issues.
• Receive assignments, keys, supplies, and requests from the Senior Housekeeper.
• Communicate courteously with guests, management, and colleagues; report guest issues.
• Coordinate with the Senior Housekeeper on priorities and assistance.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1+ year in hospitality housekeeping preferred.
• IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Micros station.
• Education: High School diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• Knowledge of safety and security procedures, excellent customer service, communication skills, energetic, organized, team-oriented, able to multitask and lift up to 50 lbs.

Additional Expectations

• Adhere to payroll and conduct policies.
• Understand safety and security protocols.
• Travel as needed for training and meetings.
• Work primarily during business hours, with occasional weekend or holiday shifts.
