Job summary

Westgate Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort is seeking a Houseperson to support the housekeeping team in maintaining clean, well-kept guest rooms and public areas at our Myrtle Beach resort.

You will assist in removing garbage, stocking supplies, and responding to guest requests while upholding our standards of cleanliness and safety in a dynamic hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates a friendly and positive demeanor.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Must be comfortable working in a variety of outdoor weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, humid).

Responsibilities

• Assist housekeeping by removing garbage.
• Clean and maintain guest rooms including changing linens and vacuuming.
• Stock storage closets with linens, towels, and supplies.
• Respond to staff and guest requests for assistance.
• Walk hotel premises to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Report maintenance issues to housekeeping supervisor.

Job Description

As a Houseperson, you will be responsible for supporting the housekeeping team by providing assistance with a variety of tasks, such as cleaning guest rooms, stocking storage closets, and responding to guest requests. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the hotel premises are clean and well-maintained.

In this exciting role, you will:

• Assist housekeeper the removal of garbage


• Clean and maintain guest rooms, including changing bed linens, vacuuming carpets, and dusting furniture


• Stock storage closets with clean linens, towels, and other supplies


• Respond to staff and guest requests for assistance, such as providing extra towels or making a bed


• Walk the hotel premises to ensure that they are clean and well-maintained


• Report any maintenance issues to the housekeeping supervisor


• Maintain a safe working environment and follow all safety procedures
