Job summary

Desimone-Gaming-Inc is seeking a dependable Houseperson to assist the Guest Room Attendants in maintaining clean, neat guest areas throughout the hotel.

You will mop floors, stock supplies, deliver requested items, and ensure restrooms and corridors are spotless while following safety and room-rotation procedures.

This role requires at least 6 months of cleaning experience, strong English communication, and flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION:It is the primary responsibility of the Houseperson to assist the Guest Room Attendant’s in performance of their duties. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and policies, practices, and procedures.Performs other duties as requested by senior management.Ensures that assigned areas are kept clean and neat.Cleans ash urns constantly, cleans and dusts lamps, mirrors, pictures, etc. Mops and cleans all marble or tile floors in assigned area.Delivers requested items, such as refrigerators, pillows, rollways, cribs, etc., to guest rooms.Empties all trash and linen from the Guest Room Attendants’ carts as needed.Maintain inventory levels, delivers supplies to assigned lockers, and stocks it.Follows Quick Flood Response procedures, safety procedures, general clean, pull room procedures, and quarterly mattress-flipping procedure.Cleans restrooms in assigned areas, vacuums all halls, lobbies, and edges. Cleans all hall railings, marks on wallpaper, stairwells, and lockers.Performs all other job related duties as assigned.Required:At least 6 months of previous cleaning experience.Ability to constantly move freely around hotel, withstand various activities such as constant walking, standing, reaching, bending from the waist, and occasional climbing, crawling, and kneeling.Ability to lift, have physical stamina and proper mental attitude to deal effectively with guests, management, and other employees.Ability to keep pace with Guest Room Attendants and remove trash and linen in a timely manner.Ability to push and maneuver a loaded standard utility cart.Working knowledge of all cleaning procedures, equipment, and supplies, ability to follow directions effectively.Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints, within established deadlines and attention to detail.Effective listening abilities and strong judgment skills.Excellent customer service skills.Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.Professional appearance and demeanor.Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.High School diploma and equivalent.Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.Preferred:Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
