Job summary

Desimone-Gaming-Inc in Las Vegas is seeking a hotel housekeeper to maintain guest rooms to the property's standards. You will be responsible for cleaning guestrooms, replenishing amenities, and reporting any room issues.

The role requires customer service skills and the ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. Applicants should have at least 6 months of related experience or completed housekeeping training, high school diploma, and able to communicate in English.

Qualifications

• 6 months of related hotel housekeeping experience or completed housekeeping training.
• Ability to work indoors and tolerate environmental factors such as noise, dust, cigarette smoke.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
• Must communicate in English, both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Clean guestrooms including beds, vacuum floors, empty trash, wipe surfaces.
• Replenish guest amenities and information folders.
• Clean bathrooms with appropriate cleaning agents.
• Restock towels and bathmats; place towels and amenities.
• Report room status and conditions via in-room phone system.
• Follow safety policies and guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB DESCRIPTION:Cleans guestrooms including duties such as making beds, vacuuming, emptying trash, wiping down or dusting all surfaces.Replenishes all guest amenities and information folders as needed.Cleans bathrooms by scrubbing basins, bathtubs, shower walls and doors, toilets, and tile floors with damp cleaning cloths and proper chemicals when applicable.Replenishes all amenities such as ashtrays, soaps and tissues.Places clean bathmats on tubs and/or shower doors and clean towels on towel racks.Reports unusual room conditions or rooms in need of repair. Reports status of rooms clean/unclean, vacant/occupied via the in-room phone system.Completes all duties in accordance with the room classification checklist.Follows all safety policies and guidelines of the department, Company, State or Federal authorities. Utilizes safety equipment as required.Utilizes safety equipment as required.Performs all other job- related duties as assigned.JOB REQUIREMENTS:Required:At least 6 months of related in Hotel housekeeping or completed Housekeeping training from Culinary Academy of Las Vegas.Ability to work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to noise, dust and cigarette smoke.Ability to withstand prolonged walking, standing, bending and kneeling.Ability to maneuver and maintain control of housekeeping cart.Excellent customer service skills.Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.Professional appearance and demeanor.Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.High School diploma and equivalent.Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.Must be 21.Preferred:Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.This in not intended to include every duty or responsibility of the job nor is it intended to be an all-inclusive list of the skills and abilities required to do this job.
