Job summary

Brandt Hospitality Group in Fargo, ND is seeking a Houseperson to maintain clean corridors, public areas, and assist room attendants as needed. You will help ensure a superior guest first impression through meticulous cleaning and timely attention to details.

This role requires the ability to follow routine, communicate with team, and report maintenance issues. You will contribute to a seamless guest experience by performing deep cleaning tasks and supporting housekeeping staff during busy times.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of housekeeping and laundry operations.
• Ability to understand and speak some English.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Empty all trash receptacles and remove linens, noting immediate cleaning needs.
• Clean all public areas per brand standards (hallways, elevators, service areas, stairways).
• Aid housekeepers and maintenance team as needed.
• Stock linen and supply closets to maintain par inventories.
• Perform deep cleaning or preventative maintenance as assigned.
• Clean other designated areas including restrooms, offices, and meeting rooms.
• Report missing articles, damage, or mechanical problems to management.
• Turn in and log guest property left in rooms or public spaces.
• Perform deep cleaning tasks such as flipping mattresses and moving furniture.
• Ensure all assigned tasks are completed with the allotted MPRs.
• Respond to guest service issues in a timely and friendly manner.

Job description

As Houseperson you will be a vital part of the overall guest experience. You will be responsible cleaning and maintaining all interior and exterior corridors and public areas so that we ensure the best first impression for our guests. You may also assist room attendants with room cleaning. If you have great attention to detail, take direction well, and like to follow a consistent routine, this might be just the job for you!

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Empty all trash receptacles and remove all linens and note areas that need immediate cleaning.
• Clean all public areas in accordance with brand standards and management, including, but not limited to hallways, elevators, service areas, stairways, etc.
• Aid housekeepers and maintenance team as needed.
• Stock linen and supply closets to ensure par inventories.
• Complete deep cleaning or preventative maintenance as assigned.
• Clean other designated areas when assigned, including, but not limited to restrooms, public areas, offices, and meeting rooms.
• Ensure all hotel property is in working order. Report missing articles, damage, or mechanical problems to management or supervisor, as necessary.
• Turn in and log all guest property left in room or other public space.
• Perform deep cleaning tasks, as needed (for example flip mattresses, move furniture).
• Ensure all rooms/assigned tasked are completed with the allotted MPR’s.
• Respond to guest service issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of housekeeping and laundry operations and procedures.
• Knowledge of proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals.
• General knowledge of equipment such as vacuums, commercial washers and dryers.
• Able to understand and speak some of the English language.
• Able to work in fast paced environment.
