Job summary

Kana Hotel Group is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain clean, welcoming guest spaces in our hotels. You will clean hallways, guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas, restock supplies, and ensure safety and cleanliness standards.

The role requires attention to detail, reliability, and a friendly approach to guest service; availability for nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Attention to detail.
• Previous customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Cleans hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and other work areas.
• Strip linens from guest rooms and may assist with cleaning guest rooms.
• Adheres to safety regulations when using chemicals.
• Moves and dusts furniture and equipment.
• Cleans floors, rugs, and upholstery with appropriate cleaning tools.
• Collects soiled linens and stores linen supplies.
• Cleans bathrooms and replenishes supplies.
• Refurnishes rooms with towels and supplies as required.
• Washes walls, windows, and woodwork.
• Empties trash and disposals areas.
• Greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

• Cleans hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
• Strip linens from guest rooms and may assist with cleaning guest room.
• Abides by the regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemicals.
• Moves/arranges furniture and dusts/polishes furniture, metalwork and equipment.
• Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors, using brooms and mops and powered scrubbing and waxing machines. Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaner.
• Collects soiled linens for laundering and receives and stores linen supplies in linen closet.
• Cleans bathrooms and replenishes with supplies.
• Refurnishes room with supplies, towels etc. as required. Supplies cleaning cart with appropriate supplies for shift.
• Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork; washes windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebaskets and empties and cleans ashtrays. Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
• Takes the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred
