Job summary

Courtyard Kodak Sevierville is seeking a dedicated Houseman to support housekeeping and maintain cleanliness across the property. This role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a strong work ethic. • Detail-oriented with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
• Understanding of basic cleaning procedures.
• Prior housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred.
• Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and products.
• Good physical health and stamina.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high performance standards.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to follow instructions.
• High school diploma a plus.

Responsibilities

• Stock carts with linens and supplies.
• Strip linens from rooms and restock shelves.
• Maintain outdoor areas including patios, sidewalks, and parking lots.
• Clean and maintain lobby, restrooms, and pool area.
• Assist with general cleanliness and upkeep.
• Ensure areas meet Marriott cleanliness and safety standards.
• Respond to guest room maintenance requests.
• Complete preventative maintenance in guest rooms and public areas.
• Assist with cleaning projects around the property.
• Perform routine repairs, painting, and touch-ups.
• Inspect guest rooms and public spaces for brand standards.
• Maintain parking lot, sidewalks, exterior grounds.
• Remove trash and keep storage areas clean.
• Assist other departments, including housekeeping and public area cleaning.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance situations with guest service.

Houseman Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support housekeeping staff by stocking carts with linens and supplies
• Strip linens from checked-out rooms and restock housekeeping shelves
• Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas including patios, sidewalks, and parking lots
• Clean and maintain common areas such as the lobby, restrooms, and pool area (where applicable)
• Assist with general cleanliness and upkeep throughout the property
• Ensure all assigned areas meet hotel cleanliness and safety standards
• Respond to guest room maintenance requests (TVs, HVAC, plumbing, lighting, locks, etc.)
• Complete preventative maintenance in guest rooms and public areas.
• Assist with cleaning projects and maintain the appearance of the hotel inside and out.
• Perform routine repairs, painting, and touch-ups throughout the property.
• Inspect guest rooms and public spaces to ensure Marriott brand standards are met.
• Maintain the parking lot, sidewalks, and exterior grounds.
• Remove trash and keep storage, maintenance, and work areas clean and organized.
