Home2 Suites by Hilton Alcoa Knoxville Airport is seeking an Assistant Executive Housekeeper who is honest, friendly and a strong team player with a proven track record of guest service excellence. You will oversee room assignments, coordinate housekeeping staff, manage inventories, train new hires, handle guest inquiries, and ensure rooms meet standards.

This role requires leadership, organization and the ability to respond quickly to issues, while supporting the hotel’s commitment to guest

• Familiar with safety and security rules and procedures.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assign rooms to housekeepers and allocate extra help for deep cleaning.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to keep housekeeping supplies stocked.
• Verify cleaned rooms and update status in the system.
• Maintain and log lost and found items.
• Ensure storage areas are securely locked.
• Oversee time clock use and ensure accurate punches.
• Ensure adequate linens for night shift.
• Assist in training new housekeepers.
• Assist in terminations when progress is lacking.
• Ensure rooms meet standards and regulations.
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries or escalate to GM.

A general overview of the Assistant Executive Housekeeper position is as follows:

• Assigning rooms for Housekeepers, assigning extra help for deep cleaning
• Partnering with Maintenance to ensure Housekeeping supplies are fully stocked
• Ensuring all cleaned rooms are checked and updated in the computer system
• Maintains and logs lost and found items
• Makes sure all storage areas are locked
• Oversees Housekeeping’s use of the time clock, ensuring that punches are accurate
• Responsible for making sure there are enough linens stocked for the night Housekeepers
• Assists in training for each new Housekeeper
• Assists in terminations of Housekeepers that are not showing signs of progress
• Ensures that cleaned rooms are up to standards, rules, and regulations
• Responding promptly to any guests inquires or complaints, or escalating to the General Manager

• Has the ability to seek out work, rather than to wait for direction
• General knowledge of the safety, security rules & procedures
• Excellent planning and organizing skills
• The ability to modify leadership style and management approach to reach goals at hand
• Effectively communicate ideas and needs, both in written and oral communication
• Has the ability to stand or walk for up to hours per day
• Must provide authorization for us to run a pre-employment National Crime Background check
