Job summary

Marriott is seeking a Houseman to maintain cleanliness and appearance of public spaces, back-of-house areas, and support housekeeping. You will stock carts, handle linen and waste, respond to guest requests, and assist with maintenance checks.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in housekeeping, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced hotel environment. Competitive salary and benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Public Area Cleanliness: Clean and maintain lobbies, breakfast areas, public restrooms, hallways, elevators, stairwells, and entrance/vestibule areas.
• Cart & Supply Stocking: Restock housekeepers' carts with fresh linens, terry, trash liners, and cleaning chemicals or guest amenities.
• Linen & Waste Management: Transport dirty linens and towels to the laundry area, fold and stock clean items, and empty/remove trash from common areas and floor compactors to the loading dock.
• Guest Requests & Deliveries: Respond promptly to guest requests for extra pillows, towels, cribs, or forgotten amenities, and deliver them directly to guest rooms.
• Property Walks & Maintenance: Perform regular property checks, remove safety hazards, perform minor carpet or heavy cleaning, and report broken appliances, plumbing issues, or light fixtures to the Chief Engineer or maintenance department.
• Event & Area Setup: Assist with setting up, tearing down, and cleaning meeting spaces, breakfast areas, or public-facing function rooms as needed.
