Job summary

Staybridge Suites Jackson-Ridgeland is seeking a Houseman to maintain the hotel public areas, support the housekeeping team, and help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests. The role involves cleaning lobbies, corridors, elevators, and meeting spaces, delivering supplies, and assisting with guest requests.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain hotel public areas, hallways, elevators, lobby, stairwells, and other assigned spaces.
• Assist housekeeping staff with cleaning guest rooms, delivering supplies, and completing special cleaning requests as needed.
• Collect and transport dirty linen, towels, and trash to designated areas.
• Replenish housekeeping carts, linen closets, and supply storage areas.
• Deliver extra towels, pillows, blankets, toiletries, and other requested items to guest rooms.
• Assist with moving furniture, setting up meeting spaces, and completing special projects when assigned.
• Maintain cleanliness in laundry rooms, housekeeping storage areas, and employee work areas.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged furniture, plumbing problems, and safety hazards to management promptly.
• Follow hotel cleanliness standards, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Assist with deep cleaning, preventive maintenance tasks, and other housekeeping duties as directed by management.
• Respond to guest requests promptly and courteously while maintaining professional customer service.
• Handle hotel equipment and cleaning supplies properly and report shortages to the supervisor.
