Chartwells Higher Education seeks a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee and train staff, ensuring adherence to unit standards and infection control procedures. You will manage interviews, hiring, evaluations, and, when needed, terminations in compliance with union agreements.

The role emphasizes budgeting, inventory control, scheduling, and safety, with responsibility for maintaining cleanliness and service quality across shifts.

Formación

• At least two years of housekeeping supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of infection control and health & safety standards.
• Union environment experience preferred.
• Understanding budgeting concepts and profit/loss awareness.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities; good communication.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise, train, and inspect housekeeping staff to meet unit standards.
• Manage personnel functions: interviews, hiring, evaluation, and terminations per agreements.
• Coordinate housekeeping and linen activities with emphasis on infection control and safety.
• Oversee site budget, cost control, and inventory of supplies.
• Prepare assignment sheets and manage staff scheduling and breaks.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and staff use proper supplies and procedures.
• Provide staff training and ensure high standards of cleanliness and service.
