Viceroy Hotels offers a bold opportunity as a Housekeeping Supervisor in Washington, DC, overseeing housekeeping operations and stepping in for management as needed. The role involves inspecting staff performance, ensuring room readiness, and maintaining strict standards and safety procedures across floors and rooms.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and 2–3 years in a hotel setting, with prior supervisory experience preferred.

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.

Mansioni

• Inspect Room Attendant’s work performance within assigned section on a daily basis to ensure standards and productivity.
• In the absence of the Housekeeping Manager or Assistant Housekeeping Manager, inspect VIP rooms and report availability to Front Office.
• Oversee closing of floors at end of day; ensure carts are clean and restocked.
• Maintain records of daily assignments and submit to Housekeeping Office on time.
• Maintain key control.
• Handle Lost and Found items per standards.
• Monitor cleanliness of carts, linen closets, control closets, stairways and landings.
• Oversee daily assignment of duties for Room Attendants and House Attendants.
• Carry active pager/radio to stay in touch with Front Office/Engineering during shift.
• Report progress of out-of-order rooms to Guest Services Manager as per standards.
• Initiate work orders for repairs and follow through until completed.
• Assist with training of Housekeeping staff.
• May be required to clean rooms when needed.
• Ensure completion of cleaning projects biannually.
