Position: Housekeeping Supervisor

Description

Position: Housekeeping Supervisor

JOB OVERVIEW: Supervise the operations of the housekeeping staff, promoting a safe environment and quality service to achieve maximum guest satisfaction, protection of assets, and minimal expenses.

REPORTS TO: Executive Housekeeper

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Supervise the housekeeping staff; provide open communication, training, coaching, counseling, and performance feedback to ensure maximum efficiency.
  2. Supervise and inspect the cleaning of guest rooms, turndown service, public areas, and back of the house; ensure compliance with safety, health, and sanitation standards to achieve high cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
  3. Assign tasks to staff, review special requests, and areas of focus for smooth operations.
  4. Manage supplies and inventory, control expenses, and ensure proper stock levels at the start of each shift.
  5. Respond to guest requests, concerns, and problems to ensure satisfaction.
  6. Log items into the Lost and Found system and handle inquiries to maintain controls and guest satisfaction.
  7. Implement emergency procedures to protect hotel guests, staff, and assets.
  8. Adhere to attendance policies and be available to work as scheduled.
  9. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills And Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Self-motivated with a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Excellent guest communication skills.
  • Team player, willing to assist colleagues as needed.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, or move materials weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to move throughout the building, bend, stoop, and reach to support staff tasks.

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

Customer Satisfaction: Maintain professionalism, courtesy, and respect in all guest interactions, representing Crescent positively at all times.

Work Habits: Meet or exceed hotel standards for appearance, punctuality, and procedures; be adaptable and proactive in problem-solving and skill development.

Safety & Security: Follow hotel policies on key control, chemical handling, and hazard reporting to ensure safety for all.
