Summary

The Housekeeping Supervisor is fully accountable for the day-to-day operations of all cleaning staff (eleven in total), overseeing their work and ensuring the cleanliness of APM facilities. Additionally, the Supervisor will comply with established policies and procedures and not take action contrary to such guidelines without approval from their Director.

Some of the duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Screen, hire, orient and train new personnel using successful techniques and company directives.
  • Ensure staff efficiency through ongoing training, counseling, and leadership.
  • Plan weekly/daily maintenance staff schedules and assignments.
  • Administer action plans consistently and promptly for performance issues.
  • Document appropriately and communicate situations with the Manager.
  • Support staff to encourage teamwork and lead by example to create a harmonious environment.
  • Handle administrative processes involving personnel timely (performance evaluations, time sheets, etc.).
  • Assess personnel competency in disciplines like electric, plumbing, cleaning, etc.
  • Maintain community appearance and ensure cleaning is completed timely through regular inspections and tours.
  • Perform general cleaning duties, including mopping, vacuuming, shampooing carpets, wiping surfaces, changing trash liners, and maintaining community areas.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies.
  • Follow work ethics guidelines, maintaining client confidentiality.
  • Communicate openly with the director and staff.
  • Complete work orders timely.
  • Ensure safety compliance with all relevant rules and immediately correct unsafe conditions.
Special Requirements

Ability to lift more than 50 lbs., work nights and weekends, work independently, and hold a Pennsylvania driver’s license.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), ability to prioritize, background in maintenance and customer service, basic knowledge of building structures, high school diploma required.

Important: All new hires must obtain FBI, Child Abuse, Criminal Background, and Medical/TB clearances.
