DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago - North Shore Conference Center is seeking a Temporary Housekeeping Supervisor/Inspector to lead our housekeeping team, inspect guest rooms for cleanliness, and assist with cleaning as needed. This hands-on role focuses on delivering an exceptional guest experience in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of supervisory housekeeping experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Temporary Housekeeping Supervisor/Inspector

We're seeking an energetic, experienced leader with a passion for hospitality to join our TEAM as a Temporary Housekeeping Supervisor/Inspector!

About the Role

You'll help lead and support our housekeeping TEAM, inspect guest rooms for cleanliness and quality, and ensure an exceptional guest experience. This is a hands-on role that includes assisting with guest room cleaning as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support housekeeping staff to ensure rooms are cleaned efficiently and meet hotel standards.
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas for cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance issues.
• Provide feedback and guidance to team members to maintain quality standards.
• Assign daily tasks and help prioritize room cleaning based on occupancy and guest needs.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged items, and safety concerns promptly.
• Ensure housekeeping carts, supplies, and storage areas are clean and organized.
• Monitor inventory of linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies and report shortages.
• Assist with cleaning guest rooms when needed.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve cleanliness concerns professionally.
• Ensure proper use of cleaning products and compliance with safety and sanitation procedures.
• Communicate room status updates and special requests with the front desk and management.
• Help train team members on cleaning procedures, hotel standards, and safety practices.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of housekeeping supervisory experience in a select-service hotel is required.
• Previous experience inspecting guest rooms and enforcing cleanliness standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify cleanliness or maintenance issues.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to motivate a team, provide constructive feedback, and address performance concerns professionally.
• Basic computer skills for updating room statuses and completing reports.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical housekeeping duties throughout the shift.
• Willingness to assist with guest room cleaning as needed.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
