Job Responsibilities

1. Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
2. Ensure compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the Housekeeping Department.
3. Maintain knowledge of and comply with all hotel, franchise, and departmental policies and procedures, ensuring the team is informed.
4. Train and develop team members, ensuring all required training is completed according to standards.
5. Review daily business levels, anticipate critical situations, and plan effective solutions.
6. Assist staff with their job functions to ensure optimum guest service.
7. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned areas.
8. Perform housekeeping, laundry, and houseperson functions as necessary.
9. Handle guest complaints to ensure guest satisfaction.
10. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping experience in the hospitality industry; supervisory experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Effective communication skills with guests, management, and co-workers.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and equipment use.
