Schulte Hospitality Group in Tampa seeks a dynamic Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our new luxury property team. This on-site role requires overseeing room and public-area cleanliness, training staff, and ensuring safety and quality standards.

You will manage daily operations, coordinate with maintenance, and support guest satisfaction while adapting to a fast-paced hotel opening. Excellent communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills for scheduling and reporting.
• Strong verbal and written communication with guests and team members.
• Proven ability to lead a housekeeping team and maintain standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect suites and public areas for cleanliness and repair.
• Ensure supplies, equipment, and uniforms are available.
• Train and enforce safety standards; retrain for unsafe practices.
• Perform housekeeping tasks including making beds and cleaning.
• Monitor room status and cleanliness; open/close shift duties.
• Notify management of maintenance needs and repairs.
• Oversee hotel exterior cleanliness and safety.
• Act as Manager on Duty as required; available for nights/weekends/holidays.
• Perform additional duties to meet business needs.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspects all assigned suites and public areas to ensure furnishings, equipment, linens, etc. are clean and in good repair.
• Ensure that all associates have proper supplies, equipment and uniform including nametag , gloves and goggles.
• Train associates on safety standards and enforce those standards on a consistent basis. Identify associates engaging in unsafe behaviors and retrain them appropriately. Complete accident investigations and take steps to prevent future accidents.
• Performs all housekeeping duties necessary, including making beds, vacuuming and cleaning.
• Verifies and updates status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift.
• Randomly selects assigned rooms to ensure cleanliness.
• Perform opening and closing shift duties.
• Notifies GM and/or Chief Engineer of maintenance repairs necessary.
• Monitor cleanliness of hotel including parking lot and exterior entrances.
• Acts as Manager on Duty when required .
• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
• Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of two (2) years in leadership Housekeeping position
• Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred

KNO WLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Basic computer skills
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
