Schulte Hospitality Group is launching Hotel Cala in Tampa and seeks a dynamic Housekeeping Manager to lead the housekeeping team from day one. You will schedule, train, and coach staff while ensuring impeccable room cleanliness and public area maintenance.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, clear communication, and a guest-first approach to service. This on-site position offers growth within a growing hospitality portfolio and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school education; higher education preferred.
• 2–3 years minimum housekeeping management experience.
• Strong leadership and guest-service orientation.

Responsabilités

• Schedule room and cleaning assignments to ensure proper coverage.
• Inspect suites and public areas for cleanliness and repairs.
• Perform housekeeping duties as needed, including beds, vacuuming, cleaning.
• Update room status and counsel staff on discrepancies.
• Notify GM/Chief Engineer of maintenance needs.
• Hire, coach and discipline direct reports.
• Perform other duties to meet business objectives.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Schedules room and cleaning assignments to ensure proper coverage
• Inspects all assigned suites and public areas to ensure furnishings, equipment, linens, etc. are clean and in good repair
• Performs all housekeeping duties necessary, including making beds, vacuuming and cleaning
• Verifies and updates status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift
• Randomly selects assigned rooms to ensure cleanliness. Counsels Housekeepers on discrepancies
• Notifies GM and/or Chief Engineer of maintenance repairs necessary
• Hires, coaches and disciplines direct reports
• Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred
• Minimum of three (2) years in Housekeeping management position

KNO WLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Basic math skills
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Strong leadership skills
• Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
