Job summary

Shaner Group is seeking a housekeeping supervisor to lead a hotel housekeeping team and ensure daily procedures and cleanliness standards are met across all areas. You will manage staff, train personnel, and coordinate operations to deliver exceptional guest service.

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping experience in hospitality; supervisory experience a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to communicate with guests, management, and co-workers clearly.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and chemical handling requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of Shaner Hotels and franchise policies and inform the team.
• Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Train and develop team members and ensure required training is complete.
• Review daily business levels and plan effective solutions.
• Assist staff with their job functions to ensure optimum service to guests.
• Monitor cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned areas.
• Performs housekeeping, laundry, and houseperson functions when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Maintain high quality of services and implement a strong service philosophy across staff.

• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all Shaner Hotels, franchise, and hotel/departmental policies and procedures, ensuring that housekeeping team is informed as well.
• Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Train and develop team members and ensure all required training is complete according to standards.
• Review the daily business levels, anticipate critical situations, and plan effective solutions to best expedite these situations.
• Assist staff with their job functions to ensure optimum service to guests.

Responsibilities

Maintains a high quality of services offered to guests through the management of the functional areas of the housekeeping department and maintain established standards and procedures of Shaner and/or franchise. Direct, implement and maintain a strong service and management philosophy which serves as a guide to respective staff.
