Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts in Petersburg, VA is seeking a dependable housekeeping supervisor to support the housekeeping and laundry operations. You will help supervise staff, schedule room cleaning, and ensure quality standards are met to deliver excellent guest service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus 1 year housekeeping experience including supervisory training/experience.
• Must speak fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scheduling and room cleaning assignments to ensure proper coverage.
• Assist with training of employees and ensure they have tools and equipment needed to perform duties.
• Inspect suites and public areas to ensure cleanliness and proper repair; retrain as needed.
• Perform housekeeping duties such as making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning guest suites.
• Respond to guest complaints and special requests to ensure satisfaction.
• Notify management when supplies and equipment par levels are low.
• Promote teamwork and coordinate with Front Office and Maintenance.
