Job summary

Excel Hotel Group in San Diego, CA is seeking a capable Housekeeping Supervisor to assist the General Manager in supervising housekeeping and laundry operations, ensuring quality standards and optimum service for hotel guests in line with company objectives.

You will schedule room cleaning, train staff, monitor performance, inspect rooms and public areas, and respond to guest requests to sustain high satisfaction. A positive, guest‑focused demeanor is essential.

Qualifications

• 1-2 housekeeping or janitorial experience required.
• 1-year supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours in a day.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to follow verbal directions and complete assigned tasks on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Schedules room cleaning assignments to ensure proper coverage.
• Trains employees and ensures they have the tools and equipment needed to carry out tasks.
• Monitors job performance and makes recommendations for disciplinary action when needed.
• Inspects all rooms/suites and public areas to ensure cleanliness and repairs meet guest standards.
• Advises employees of deficiencies and instructs on correct actions.
• Responds to guest complaints ensuring appropriate corrective action.
• Notifies management when par levels for supplies/equipment are insufficient.
