Job summary

Vitality Living seeks a dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the housekeeping team, schedule daily tasks, and ensure high standards of cleanliness throughout the community. You will interview, hire, train, and supervise staff while coordinating with leadership to maintain budgets and inventory.

This role requires strong English communication and a compassionate approach to care for residents and families.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Meet state health-related requirements and maintain required certifications.
• Desire to work with older adults and their families.

Responsibilities

• Organize and assign housekeeping tasks to balance workload.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, orienting, training and supervising staff.
• Develop and supervise daily/weekly/monthly cleaning schedules.
• Plan special cleaning like windows, walls, and floors.
• Schedule staff based on census and budget; avoid over-staffing.
• Maintain records of monthly cleaning reports as directed.
• Monitor inventory and purchase supplies within budget.
• Collaborate with Environmental Services Director to resolve issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned; ensure a clean, safe environment.
