Job summary

EverTrue is seeking a devoted Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily operations, develop policies, and coordinate staff across shifts. The role emphasizes quality service, safety, and responsive problem-solving for residents and team members.

The supervisor will manage staffing, training, and equipment maintenance, while ensuring infection control procedures and safety standards are followed, and budget guidelines are observed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, safety rules and operating instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to present information in one-on-one settings and to groups of residents, customers, and employees.
• Must possess leadership abilities such as planning, organizing, interpretation and employee relations.

Responsibilities

• Assists in development, review, interpretation and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
• Evaluates staffing needs, recruits, interviews and selects potential employees, and schedules staff.
• Supervises staff including delegating authority, directing, counseling, coaching and evaluating staff.
• Ensures department has appropriate, functioning, and well-maintained equipment.
• Analyzes department to determine equipment and supply needs and maintains adequate level of supplies and equipment.
• Ensures quality housekeeping services are provided including resolution of resident and customer complaints and continuous inspection.
• Serves on committees and attends meetings representing the housekeeping department.
• Provides orientation and on-going training of housekeeping staff and ensures attendance at required training.
• Assists in budget preparation and ensures records are kept and budget adhered to.
• Follows infection control procedures and safety protocols, reporting hazards or incidents.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and standards.
