Job summary

EverTrue is seeking a devoted Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily operations, develop policies, and coordinate staff across shifts. The role emphasizes quality service, safety, and responsive problem-solving for residents and team members.

The supervisor will manage staffing, training, and equipment maintenance, while ensuring infection control procedures and safety standards are followed, and budget guidelines are observed.

Qualifications

• Must possess leadership abilities such as planning, organizing, interpretation and employee relations.

• Ensures quality housekeeping services are provided including resolution of resident and customer complaints and continuous inspection.
• Serves on committees and attends meetings representing the housekeeping department.
• Provides orientation and on-going training of housekeeping staff and ensures attendance at required training.
• Assists in budget preparation and ensures records are kept and budget adhered to.
• Follows infection control procedures and safety protocols, reporting hazards or incidents.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and standards.

Summary

Responsibilities

3. Supervises staff including delegating authority, directing, counseling, coaching and evaluating staff to provide exceptional service
4. Ensures department has appropriate, functioning, and well-maintained equipment
5. Analyzes department to determine equipment and supply needs and maintains adequate level of supplies and equipment
6. Ensures quality housekeeping services are provided including resolution of resident and customer complaints and continuous inspection
7. Serves on various committees and attends meetings representing the housekeeping department and makes/recommends changes based on feedback and reports on and implements as requested
8. Provides orientation and on-going training of housekeeping staff and ensures staff attendance at required training before performance on the job
9. Assists in budget preparation, ensures adequate records are kept, paperwork is processed and department conforms to budget
10. Follows and ensures that all housekeeping personnel follow infection control procedures, including proper hand washing, waste storage and disposal and wearing protective clothing and equipment
11. Follows all safety procedures and protocol and ensure staff follows all safety procedures and protocol as dictated by EverTrue policy, federal and state regulations, and standard housekeeping practice and corrects and/or reports all hazardous conditions, defective equipment, and accidents or incidents to supervisor immediately

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Minimum two years supervisory experience in housekeeping or laundry
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, safety rules and operating instructions;
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence;
• Ability to effectively present information in one on one situations and speak effectively before groups of residents, customers and employees
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
• Must possess leadership abilities such as planning, organizing, interpretation and employee relations

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Must be able to push/pull 50 lbs.
