Job summary

Delta Hotel by Marriott Virginia Beach Waterfront, managed by Crescent Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the housekeeping team and ensure guest rooms and public spaces meet Crescent standards.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, inspecting rooms, managing supplies, and maintaining safety and sanitation standards. The role requires effective communication, teamwork, and a strong guest-service mindset to deliver exceptional experiences.

Qualifications

• 2 years Hotel Housekeeping experience
• 1 year Housekeeping Supervisor experience
• Must communicate in English

Responsibilities

• Supervise the housekeeping staff; provide open communication, training, coaching and counseling and performance feedback to ensure maximum efficiency.
• Supervise and inspect cleaning of guest rooms, turndown service, public areas and back of the house; ensure compliance with health/sanitation standards and regulations to achieve high cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
• Assign tasks to staff, review special requests and areas of concentration to ensure smooth housekeeping operations.
• Distribute supplies to staff at shift start to control inventory and expenses while ensuring proper stock.
• Address guest requests, concerns and problems to maintain guest satisfaction.
• Log items into the Lost and Found and respond to inquiries to maintain controls and guest satisfaction.
• Implement emergency training and procedures to protect the hotel, guests, staff and assets.
• Attend to attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

As our Housekeeping Supervisor, you will ensure the staff of housekeeping department cleans and maintains guest rooms and public space in accordance with client/guest expectations and Crescent standards of product and service.

Here Is What You Will Be Doing Each Day

• Supervise the housekeeping staff; providing open communication, training, coaching and counseling and providing performance feedback to ensure maximum efficiency.
• Supervise and inspect the cleaning of the guest rooms, turndown service, public areas and back of the house; ensure compliance with accident/loss prevention programs, health/sanitation standards and regulations to achieve a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
• Issue assignments to staff reviewing special requests and areas of concentration to ensure a smooth flow of the housekeeping operation.
• Issue supplies/goods to staff at beginning of shift in order to control inventory and ensure proper supplies are available while controlling expenses.
• Respond to guest requests, concerns and problems to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Log items into the Lost and Found and answer inquires to maintain controls and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Implement emergency training and procedures to ensure appropriate protection of the hotel, guests, staff and company assets.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with Crescent job duties and be a team player. Ability to grasp, lift, carry or otherwise move materials weighing up to 100 lbs. Ability to move throughout building, bend, stoop and reach to assist other staff members, i.e., room attendants, housepersons, and inspectors to complete Crescent individual tasks if situation demands.
