Job summary

Delta Hotel by Marriott Virginia Beach Waterfront, part of Crescent Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping team member. You will maintain cleanliness and appearance of public areas, including lobbies, pool and outdoor spaces, while ensuring guest comfort and safety.

This role involves cleaning restrooms, replenishing supplies, and responding to guest requests with a courteous attitude within a hospitality-driven team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of all public areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, entrances, pool areas, and other guest-facing spaces.
• Clean and sanitize public restrooms throughout the shift, replenishing supplies as needed.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and clean floors, carpets, windows, furniture, and fixtures.
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
• Monitor public areas for cleanliness, safety, maintenance concerns, spills, or hazards and address or report issues promptly.

Here is what you will be doing each day:

• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of all public areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, entrances, pool areas, and other guest-facing spaces.
• Clean and sanitize public restrooms throughout the shift, replenishing paper products, soap, and other supplies as needed.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and clean floors, carpets, windows, glass, furniture, and fixtures.
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
• Monitor public areas for cleanliness, safety, maintenance concerns, spills, or other hazards and address or report issues promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness of outdoor guest areas, including entrances, walkways, pool and beach areas, as assigned.
• Restock cleaning supplies and guest amenities in designated areas.
• Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of seasonal and high-traffic areas during peak periods.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and questions, directing guests to the appropriate department when necessary.
• Assist with moving furniture, setting up or breaking down public areas, and other general hotel cleaning needs as assigned.
• Follow all hotel, safety, sanitation, and chemical-handling procedures.
• Maintain a professional appearance and courteous attitude while interacting with guests and associates.
• Communicate maintenance issues, lost-and-found items, guest concerns, and other relevant information to the appropriate department or supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
