Job Summary

To supervise, direct, assist, and ensure the completion of housekeeping tasks assigned to Room Attendants, Lobby Attendants, and Housepersons in guest rooms, corridors, and public spaces to maintain Driftwood’s high standards of cleanliness.

Essential Job Functions

This description summarizes primary responsibilities and qualifications. The hotel operates 24/7, so shift times and hours may vary.

• Visually inspect VIP rooms, guest rooms, and corridors for cleanliness and appearance.
• Train and monitor performance of room attendants and housepersons, providing guidance, instruction, and counseling as needed. Ensure all jobs are completed within the shift.
• Maintain carts and linen/supply closets to be clean, neat, and stocked according to departmental guidelines. Ensure VIP supplies are in place during inspections.
• Report maintenance deficiencies in guest rooms and corridors.
• Expedite special guest requests such as extra towels, blankets, or pillows.
• Check all vacant/ready/stay-over rooms daily.
• Check out of order rooms daily.
• Identify showrooms for the Sales Department.
• Turn in all lost and found items and guest room keys.
• Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures.
• Follow fire prevention and emergency procedures.
• Use protective equipment and report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, property damage, or loss.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance as per standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned and assist other housekeeping staff when needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• High School diploma preferred; relevant experience may substitute.
• At least six months supervisory or one year housekeeping experience.
• Basic English reading and writing skills.
• Ability to give clear instructions and organize work efficiently.
• Strong judgment, communication, and time management skills.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, bend, reach, and push/pull heavy equipment regularly.
• Frequent movement, twisting, and bending required.
