Job summary

Golder Hospitality seeks a Housekeeping Supervisor to inspect guest rooms and public areas, ensuring cleanliness and hotel standards are met. The role requires availability evenings, weekends and holidays and involves supervising Room Attendants, Housepersons, and Laundry staff.

Responsibilities include opening tasks, monitoring staff performance, coaching, reporting maintenance issues, and completing daily supervisor checklists to maintain a hospitable environment across all hotel areas.

Qualifications

• Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach repetitively.
• Must be able to push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience in hotel housekeeping supervision preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication.

Housekeeping Supervisor

The primary responsibility of the Housekeeping Supervisor position is to inspect guest rooms and public areas of the hotel as well as cleaning guest rooms to ensure hotel's standards are being met for cleanliness and condition.

Essential Functions

• Perform opening tasks for the department as described in the Housekeeping Operations manual.
• Consistently monitor the progress and performance of Room Attendants, Housepersons and Laundry.
• Assist in correcting performance as necessary through coaching and training.
• Report maintenance deficiencies using Work Order system.
• Assist Room Attendants, Housepersons and Laundry in completing tasks as necessary.

Supportive Functions:

• Assist all guests as necessary to ensure a positive experience
• Any other tasks as requested by direct supervisor or other hotel management staff.

Education/Experience

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.

Our hotel functions seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
