Job summary

Marcus Hotels & Resorts' Omaha Marriott Downtown is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead daily cleaning operations in a fast-paced downtown hotel. You will inspect rooms, public spaces, and VIP areas, coach staff, and ensure work meets the highest standards.

You’ll monitor staffing, respond to guest requests, coordinate with other departments, and maintain inventory of carts and linens to support a flawless guest experience while upholding brand expectations.

Qualifications

• Must have at least six months of supervisory experience or one year of relevant housekeeping and clerical experience.
• Efficient with computer programs.
• Written and verbal skills in English to communicate with other departments and guests.
• Capable of providing clear direction, instruction, and guidance to team members.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and corridors for cleanliness and quality, updating room status as needed.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of housekeeping staff, ensuring tasks are completed on time and up to standard.
• Provide organization, guidance, and communication while reinforcing the hotel's high standards.
• Ensure housekeeping carts and linen closets are clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Inspect VIP rooms and randomly check rooms for quality compliance, reporting any maintenance issues.
• Handle special guest requests and assist with deliveries, ensuring timely service.
• Maintain proper staffing levels and oversee the smooth operation of the housekeeping department.
• Report any suspicious activity or hazardous conditions to the Loss Prevention Department and respond to guest inquiries.

What will you be doing?

• Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. High School education preferred.
