JOB SUMMARY: The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for maintaining guestrooms, working areas, and the hotel premises in a clean and orderly manner. This includes coordinating daily operations, supervising room attendants, laundry attendants, and housepersons to ensure an excellent guest experience, and conducting visual inspections to ensure brand standards are met.

The supervisor should maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all housekeeping departmental and hotel policies and standards, including the proper maintenance and use of equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the smooth operation of the housekeeping areas assigned.
• Supervise Room Attendants, Housepersons, and Laundry Attendants.
• Organize and facilitate the room making process.
• Allocate rooms and deep cleaning tasks daily to the team.
• Maintain cleanliness of guest rooms, corridors, and other areas of the floor.
• Inspect occupied and departure rooms, paying attention to guest needs.
• Manage guest requests, communicating them to relevant departments.
• Conduct routine inspections of guest bedrooms to ensure standards are met.
• Be familiar with all room categories and amenities.
• Respond to guest queries promptly and effectively.
• Carry out lost and found procedures.
• Report maintenance issues to the Maintenance/Engineering Department.
• Assist the Executive Housekeeper or AGM with training requirements.
• Represent the needs of the team within the hotel.
• Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and health and safety legislation.
• Assist other departments as needed and maintain good working relationships.

Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, stoop, and carry items for prolonged periods.
• Must be able to push up to 75 lbs. and lift/carry up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications:

• Previous hotel experience highly desirable.
• Two to three years of hotel housekeeping experience.
• Experience managing and leading people.
