Overview: The Housekeeping Supervisor manages housekeeping functions in assigned sections and covers all Housekeeping Manager duties in their absence.

Responsibilities:

  1. Inspect Room Attendants’ work daily to ensure standards and productivity.
  2. In the absence of management, inspect VIP rooms and report their status to the Front Office.
  3. Oversee the closing of floors, ensuring carts are clean and stocked.
  4. Complete and submit daily assignment records timely.
  5. Maintain key control and handle Lost and Found items per standards.
  6. Monitor cleanliness of carts, linen closets, and other areas.
  7. Assign daily duties to staff and ensure proper coverage.
  8. Use a pager/radio for communication with Front Office and Engineering.
  9. Report progress on out-of-order rooms to Guest Services.
  10. Initiate and follow up on repair work orders.
  11. Assist in staff training and may need to clean rooms as needed.
  12. Complete biannual cleaning projects and ensure guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; college coursework helpful.
  • 2-3 years of hotel or related experience preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand throughout shift and communicate effectively with staff and guests.
