Job description

Position Summary

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for inspecting and assisting with the cleaning of guest rooms, supporting department staff to ensure timely completion of tasks, and maintaining a positive work environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Ensuring all operational and safety procedures are followed.
  2. Inspecting and approving employee work performance.
  3. Supervising guest complaint resolution related to operations.
  4. Providing leadership and training for housekeeping and laundry staff.
  5. Communicating effectively and fostering teamwork.
  6. Meeting departmental and hotel operational goals.
  7. Establishing work schedules and managing payroll.
  8. Ensuring all training requirements are met and standards are maintained.
  9. Participating in the development of business strategies aligned with Radisson’s mission.
  10. Performing shift checklists and reporting duties.
  11. Responding to guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  12. Supervising housekeeping operations, including laundry and public spaces.
  13. Maintaining inventory and supplies.
  14. Ensuring safety and compliance standards are met.
  15. Participating in departmental and hotel meetings, and ongoing training.
  16. Managing reports and reporting damages or hazards.
  17. Overseeing guest room inspections and public space cleanliness.
  18. Supporting employee engagement and performance management.
  19. Ensuring guest satisfaction through genuine hospitality and teamwork.

Requirements/Skills

  • Minimum one year supervisory or management experience in housekeeping.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Experience with Opera operating system preferred.
  • Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting up to 75 pounds.
