Job summary

Tides Folly Beach is seeking a dedicated housekeeping supervisor to lead a busy team at our beachfront property in Folly Beach, SC.

You will oversee housekeeping and laundry staff, manage supplies and guest complaints, and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and service.

This role requires strong English communication, 5+ years in housekeeping supervision, and proven leadership in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years housekeeping supervisory experience.
• Fluent English communication with guests and staff.
• Understands principles of excellent customer service.
• Ability to manage a team of housekeepers effectively.
• Strong organizational skills to ensure timely task completion.
• Ability to mentor staff in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Basic computer skills for scheduling and recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Supervises housekeeping staff as duties are being performed.
• Supervises the duties and tasks of laundry staff.
• Stocks and maintains supply rooms; orders supplies according to a budget.
• Receives, processes and handles guest complaints in regard to housekeeping services.
• Ensures that rooms are kept clean and free from hazards.
• Ensures that all common areas are kept clean and free from hazards.
• Organizes all staff during the day and hosts daily meetings with housekeeping staff.
• Assists guests with questions and requests.
• Provides a high level of customer service at all times; remains professional.
• Trains new housekeepers after hire.

Position Summary

The housekeeping supervisor is the lead housekeeper on a team; he or she will be required to oversee all housekeeping duties within a particular facility or on a particular team

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervises housekeeping staff as duties are being performed
• Supervises the duties and tasks of laundry staff
• Stocks and maintains supply rooms; orders supplies according to a budget

Job Requirements

• Education High school diploma or a GED
• Experience At least 5 years experience
• Skills Ability to communicate in English with guests co workers and management to their understanding
• Understands the principles behind providing excellent customer service to guests
• Possesses the ability to manage a team of housekeepers effectively
• Demonstrates organizational skills required for ensuring that tasks are completed in a timely manner
• Exhibits the ability to teach others how to do their jobs in a friendly courteous and effective manner
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Shows basic computer knowledge for the purposes of scheduling recordkeeping and more

Working Conditions

• Training housekeepers on cleaning and reporting all maintenance issues
• Overseeing staff performance on a daily basis
• Checking rooms and common areas including stairways and lounge areas for cleanliness

Work Environment A housekeeping supervisor is required to perform the same housekeeping tasks as the individuals they supervise so the work environment fluctuates based upon the types of services being performed as well as the facility in which the individual is working
