Job summary

South Shore Rehabilitation in Chicago is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the laundry and housekeeping departments, ensuring cleanliness, order, and efficient operations across the facility.

You will lead staffing, scheduling, and supply management while maintaining high standards of resident safety and comfort. We offer comprehensive benefits and career growth within a compassionate team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Experience in a long-term care facility is preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA and IDPH regulations related to housekeeping and laundry.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, and verify references to ensure proper staffing levels.
• Supervise staff scheduling to maintain uninterrupted service to residents.
• Oversee purchasing, storage, and distribution of all housekeeping, cleaning, and laundry supplies.
• Ensure all equipment remains in proper working condition.
• Work as a weekend supervisor as part of the Department Head monthly rotation.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Administrator.

Housekeeping Supervisor Requirements:

• High school diploma preferred
• Prior long-term care facility experience required
