Job summary

Apploi is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the Laundry and Housekeeping departments at our Extended Care facility in Chicago. You will ensure cleanliness, order, and efficient operations while supporting residents and staff.

You will recruit, schedule, manage supplies, and ensure equipment is maintained, including weekend coverage as part of the Department Head rotation. A high school diploma is preferred and LTC experience is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Prior long-term care facility experience required.
• Business and personnel management training preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA and IDPH regulations related to housekeeping and laundry.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, and verify references to ensure proper staffing levels.
• Supervise staff scheduling to maintain uninterrupted service to residents.
• Oversee purchasing, storage, and distribution of all housekeeping, cleaning, and laundry supplies.
• Ensure all equipment remains in proper working condition.
• Work as a weekend supervisor as part of the Department Head monthly rotation.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Administrator.
