The Housekeeping Supervisor at the Hampton by Hilton Bowling Green is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and guest satisfaction by overseeing cleaning of guest rooms, hallways, and public areas. They also assume the duties of the Executive Housekeeper in their absence.
Essential Functions
- Ensure daily objectives are met, maintaining hotel standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
- Interact with guests and staff in a friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
- Monitor and direct housekeeping and laundry staff.
- Inspect guest rooms and public spaces for quality and cleanliness in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper.
- Manage departmental tasks such as opening and closing procedures, staff assignments, and inspections.
- Conduct daily team meetings and oversee work orders and maintenance requests.
- Balance and reconcile room statuses nightly, resolving discrepancies.
- Review guest requests and VIP guest handling in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards regarding hazardous chemicals.
- Participate in inventories and ensure adherence to cleaning procedures and standards.
- Complete pre-cleaning preparations and perform deep cleaning activities as needed.
- Engage with guests and team members positively and professionally.
- Maintain attendance and personal grooming standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Experience in hotel housekeeping or related field.
- Ability to handle stressful situations effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Basic arithmetic skills.
- Proficiency in Windows OS and office software.
- Must be 18 years or older.
