Position Summary: The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the standards of cleanliness are met.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Greeting guests and responding to requests
  2. Maintain a healthy and safe environment in guest rooms
  3. Assign tasks and inspect work to ensure it’s up to standard
  4. Provide training for team members
  5. Assist in the overall supervision of the department
  6. Inventory supplies and provide lists of needed items in a timely fashion
  7. Investigate complaints regarding housekeeping services and take corrective action
  8. Changing bed linen and making beds
  9. Replacing used towels and other bathroom amenities, such as shampoo and soap
  10. Sweeping and mopping floors
  11. Vacuuming carpets
  12. Dusting and polishing furniture
  13. Emptying trash containers
  14. Cleaning public areas, such as corridors
  15. Reporting any technical issues and maintenance needs
  16. Updating the status of guest rooms on the assignment board
  17. Restocking cleaning cart and/or supplies
  18. Follow all health and safety rules
  19. Attend meetings as required
  20. Interact with guests to ensure their total satisfaction

Qualifications

  1. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  2. Experience in customer service, front-facing, or other guest-related positions
  3. Experience cleaning in a customer-focused environment
  4. Experience in the hospitality industry as a room attendant or similar role preferred
  5. Experience supervising others preferred
  6. Must be able to communicate effectively
  7. Must possess the ability to multi-task and interact with people under pressure

Physical: Frequent standing and moving about the facilities. Handling objects, products, and equipment. Occasionally push, pull, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds. Must communicate information and ideas clearly. Must observe details at close range.
