The position offers 14-20 hours per week with weekend availability required. Pay starts at $14.45 per hour, with duties including cleaning, laundry, event setup, and routine maintenance.

Description

Our Downtown Boise YMCA is seeking a Part-Time Housekeeping Staff member to join the team. This Housekeeping role is responsible for keeping all areas clean, safe and well maintained while maintaining positive interactions with members and other staff.

Opening in December 2026, the new Downtown Boise YMCA will become a vibrant destination for health, wellness, recreation, and community connection in the heart of Downtown Boise. The state-of-the-art facility will offer something for everyone. Designed to bring people together and support healthy, active lifestyles, the Downtown Boise YMCA will provide a welcoming space where individuals and families can learn, grow, connect, and thrive.

Schedule:

This is a Part-Time position at 14-20 hours a week. Must have open availability and weekends are required. Pay: $14.45/hour.

Responsibilities:

• Create a safe environment for members, participants, and staff by cleaning and sanitizing assigned areas of the facility to meet standards of cleanliness in accordance with cleaning checklists and using required safety measures.
• Replenish products and supplies as needed.
• Develop intentional relationships and engage with members.
• Set-up before and tear-down after special events.
• Record and report necessary repairs. Complete repairs if directed.
• Ensures the cleanliness, safety and security of the facility and the overall attractiveness of the branch bycompleting duties according to checklist or as assigned.

• Regular laundry including loading, unloading and operating washers and dryers, folding, stacking laundry.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 6 months or more of related experience preferred.
• Must be able to engage others in conversations and make all people feel welcome.
• Ability to respond calmly and quickly to safety and emergency situations.
• Must have good interpersonal and communications skills and be sensitive, adaptable, professional, and articulate when dealing with others.
