Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management's Zelda Dearest in Asheville, NC is seeking dependable Housekeeping Room Attendants to join a boutique luxury hotel team. You will maintain spotless guest rooms and public spaces to the highest standards.

Responsibilities include making beds, replenishing linens and amenities, sanitizing bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming and reporting maintenance concerns. You will work with Front Desk and Maintenance to prepare rooms for arriving guests.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping preferred but training provided.
• Attention to detail and high-quality workmanship.
• Reliable, dependable and punctual.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and push/pull during shifts.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Team-oriented with ability to work independently.

What You'll Do

As a Housekeeping Room Attendant, you'll help ensure every guest room and public space reflects the high standards of Zelda Dearest.

• Clean and service guest rooms to the highest quality standards
• Make beds, replace linens, and replenish towels and amenities
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, bedrooms, and living spaces
• Dust, vacuum, mop, and maintain guest rooms and assigned public areas
• Report maintenance concerns and damaged items promptly
• Restock housekeeping carts and maintain organized supply areas
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and hotel cleanliness standards
• Respect guest privacy while working efficiently and professionally
• Assist with special cleaning projects as needed
• Work closely with the Front Desk and Maintenance teams to prepare rooms for arriving guests

What We’re Looking For

• Previous housekeeping or hotel experience is preferred but not required—we’re happy to train the right person
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
• Reliable, dependable, and punctual
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, push, and pull throughout the workday
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds and perform repetitive physical tasks

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Bend and reach to dust, clean and make beds and bathroom
• Stand and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods.
• Talk to many different kinds of people to give information, answer questions and provide required services.
• Visually inspect rooms for cleanliness and guest belongings that have been left behind.
• Use written communication skills to mark completed rooms on daily paperwork.
• Move fingers, arms and hands quickly and easily to perform cleaning duties.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Lifting fifty (50) pounds maximum.
• Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing and smiling.
