Job Title: Room Attendant

Job Summary: Cleans and prepares guest rooms and public areas by meeting established standards of cleanliness and propriety to assure guest satisfaction and maximize revenues.

Job Duties

1. Maintains the hotel rooms and building to ensure a safe and clean experience for hotel guests, associates, and vendors.
2. Sets up cleaning cart with supplies and maintains carts and storerooms in a clean and orderly fashion to enhance efficiency.
3. Cleans and wipes windows, doors, walls, closets, and fixtures in rooms, public areas, and hallways.
4. Washes shower walls and tubs, cleans toilets and stall walls, and wipes pipes, mirrors, sinks, and walls to ensure sanitary guest and public restrooms.
5. Replaces towels, soaps, and amenities, and restocks literature as needed.
6. Washes all hard floor areas to remove dirt and soiled areas.
7. Dusts and polishes all furniture, fixtures, and wall hangings.
8. Strips beds and remakes with fresh linens.
9. Checks and cleans closets, restocking supplies as needed.
10. Vacuums rooms, public areas, and hallways.
11. Inspects locks and ensures they are in working order, reporting unsafe situations.
12. Checks lights and remotes to ensure functionality.
13. Maintains a friendly, courteous demeanor at all times.
14. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Basic knowledge of cleaning principles, products, and equipment.
2. Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extend arms overhead, bend, and stoop.
3. Ability to push/pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
4. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
5. Effective communication skills with guests and staff.
6. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
