The JW Marriott Turnberry Miami Resort & Spa requires a Public Area Attendant to maintain pristine public spaces, including the lobby, corridors, meeting rooms, business center, and restrooms. You will uphold luxury standards and support guest comfort throughout shifts.

Ideal candidates communicate well in English, stay detail-oriented, and handle chemical safety and equipment use professionally. Flexibility for holidays/weekends is essential.

Responsibilities

• Service public areas daily to JW Marriott Turnberry Miami Resort & Spa standards.
• Vacuum, sweep and mop hallways, stairs, entrances, and public spaces.
• Clean sinks, toilets, urinals, tiles, mirrors; replenish restroom amenities.
• Move furniture and inspect for tears or damage; report to supervisor.
• Dust upholstery and clean phones, bins, and ashtrays.
• Clean windows and glass surfaces; keep lifts and doors clean.
• Perform other duties as required by management.

Scope of PositionThe Public Area Attendant will provide professional cleaning and servicing of all public areas; including hotel lobby, corridors, meeting rooms, business center, stairs, restrooms, and staff areas ensuring hotel standards are met.Position RequirementsProfessional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment.Effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns and issues raised by team members and hotel guests.Knowledge of proper chemical handling, cleaning techniques and use of equipment/ machinery.Previous housekeeping experience in a large hotel environment preferred.ResponsibilitiesService public areas daily maintaining JW Marriott Turnberry Miami Resort & Spa standards.Vacuum, sweep and mop hallways, stairs, main entrances, atrium, business rooms, and store areas.Clean and brush sinks, toilets and urinals, including tiles outside and under vanity areas.Replenish restroom amenities.Clean lifts, doors glass, floor and tracks.Clean and remove spots from walls, doors and floors. Polish mirrors and glasses.Clean windows on the inside including frames ledges and glass.Inspect furniture condition and report tears, rips, stains and damages to supervisor.Dust upholstered furniture, including crevices and under cushions. Move furniture and clean underneath.Remove dust grease and smears from house/public phones. Empty bins and ashtrays including those outside the building.Perform any other reasonable duties as required by management.EducationHigh school diploma.Skills and AbilitiesAbility to communicate in the English language (Second language is a plus).Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends.Able to perform multiple tasks.Physical RequirementsMust be able to work in a fast-paced environment.Must be physically fit in order to lift, pull and push items up to 50 pounds.Also requires standing/walking/reaching and bending throughout shift (up to 8 hours).
