Job summary

The Jewish Community Center of Greater Columbus is seeking a dedicated cleaning staff member to maintain and sanitize all areas including gymnasiums, pools, and restrooms. You will perform floor care, vacuuming, trash removal, and restocking supplies while supporting event setups and tear-downs.

A helpful, customer-oriented approach is essential. Flexibility and reliability are valued, with duties requiring walking and standing.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in commercial building cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain gymnasiums, pool areas, fitness center and health clubs.
• Dust, sweep, mop, scrub floors and run floor machine; vacuum carpets; empty trash and recycling.
• Set up and tear down events; assist in grounds maintenance and restroom upkeep.

Summary of Duties & Responsibilities:
Clear and clean tables; dust, sweep, mop and scrub floors; run floor machine; vacuum carpets; remove all trash to dumpsters; clean and maintain gymnasiums, pool areas, fitness center & health clubs; put away classroom toys, and stack chairs; empty outside trash cans and recycling bins; clean and maintain all restrooms and restroom supplies; assist in maintaining grounds and facility, and set up and tear down events as required.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Preferred, Solid Grasp of English
1-year experience in commercial building cleaning
Must be able to lift 40 pound loads; excellent customer service skills; detail oriented; team player; enjoy young children, and be flexible. This job involves considerable walking and standing.
