Job summary

The Oshman Family Jewish Community Center (OFJCC) in Silicon Valley is seeking full-time housekeeping staff to keep our campus sparkling and welcoming for visitors and staff. Responsibilities include dusting and mopping floors, moving equipment, cleaning walls and furniture, disposing of trash, and assisting in the laundry area while identifying safety hazards and maintaining high cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-2 years’ experience in similar sized institution preferred.
• Ability to deal with frequent interruptions and maintain focus.
• Identify safety hazards and act to mitigate them.
• Carry out cleaning procedures daily to high standards.
• Ability to work both independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Keeping our campus sparkling.
• Dusting and mopping floors.
• Moving equipment and furniture for cleaning purposes.
• Washing walls, windows, doors, furniture, baseboards and other items for a clean environment.
• Identify areas needing cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks.
• Collecting and disposing of trash/recycling; assisting in the laundry area.
