Job summary

Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to help oversee all Housekeeping and Laundry functions and support the Executive Housekeeper. The role focuses on quality assurance, cost control, and maintaining Omni standards.

You will inspect guestrooms, assign tasks, report issues, and ensure staff have supplies, while supporting a positive, guest-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Prior Housekeeping Supervisory Experience in Hospitality preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED / College Degree preferred.
• Must be highly motivated and have the ability to multi-task.
• Must be able to work independently and lead, motivate and develop others.

Responsibilities

• Inspects the cleaning and servicing of guestrooms.
• Assigns special assignments to Room Attendants and Housepersons.
• Reports repairs or discrepancies of guest rooms.
• Ensures all GRAs have supplies and linens.
• Assists in cleaning guest rooms when necessary.
• Assists in processing AM and PM room status reports.
• Maintains neat linen carts and stocked linen closets on floors.
• Inspects VIPs and Show Rooms daily.
• Assigns keys and pagers to staff.
• Checks in/out keys at shift end.
• Clears discrepant room statuses before shift ends.
• Trains Turndown Attendants.
• Requires flexible hours, holidays and weekends.
• Practices aggressive hospitality and handles special projects.
