Job summary

Hyatt RC Hotel 1 LLC is seeking an Assistant Head Housekeeper to oversee all housekeeping operations, train staff, and ensure brand standards across rooms, public areas, and laundry. The role involves supervising personnel, coordinating with front desk, and maintaining high guest satisfaction.

The candidate will manage daily tasks, uphold safety practices, and contribute to deep-cleaning initiatives while supporting the Executive Housekeeper and maintaining a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and organizational skills to supervise and coordinate housekeeping staff.
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure high cleaning standards are met.
• Time management and multitasking abilities to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with staff, management, and guests.
• Ability to train, mentor, and motivate housekeeping staff.
• Familiarity with housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and equipment.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
• Proficiency in using housekeeping management systems or basic computer skills.
• Crisis management ability to handle upset guests, emergencies, and safety incidents.

Responsibilities

• Cleans guestrooms, bathrooms, corridors, lobbies and laundry as needed or assigned.
• Assigns work to housekeeping personnel when the Executive Housekeeper is absent.
• Assists in training/developing personnel in housekeeping duties, safety and brand policies/procedures.
• Communicates regularly with Front Desk on status of room inventory and updates front desk system as necessary.
• Ensures guest satisfaction through quick attention to questions, concerns or problems.
• Communicates needs for room supplies, furniture/room renovation or replacements, room maintenance.
• Examines carpets, drapes and furniture for stains, damage, or wear; plans carpet shampooing and deep cleaning.
• Checks and counts linens and supplies.
• Records inspection results and retrains in deficient areas.
• Assists Executive Housekeeper in storage and security of housekeeping keys.
• Assists with guest lost and found items.
• Helps communicate GSS scores and maintains high room cleanliness standards.
• Maintains a positive work environment and open communication with Executive Housekeeper.
