Job summary

ELEMENT - POOLER is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the housekeeping team, control labor costs, and ensure clean guest and public areas to LBA standards. This role emphasizes guest service, safety, and professional conduct on property.

Responsibilities include hiring, coaching, scheduling, inventory oversight, and enforcing policies to maintain brand quality and privacy for guests and associates.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of supervising and managing staff techniques.
• Through knowledge of materials, supplies and equipment used in housekeeping.
• Safety and security measures; ability to report hazardous conditions.
• Experience with payroll, timekeeping and weekly reporting.
• Ability to train, coach and discipline staff according to policy.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the activities of the Housekeeping Team through daily shift meetings and monthly department meetings.
• Train new housekeeping associates and provide ongoing coaching and documented disciplinary actions.
• Assist with interviewing and hiring for housekeeping and laundry departments.
• Inspect all hotel areas to ensure sanitation, brand standards and health/safety compliance.
• Maintain inventories and ensure supplies; process invoices for payment and filing.
• Ensure all equipment is in proper working order (vacuums, laundry equipment, carts).
• Oversee room key controls to ensure guest safety and security.
• Present training resources including brand and vendor training for continuous education.
• Schedule and operate within the designated labor model.
• Ensure staff adhere to policies and protect guest privacy; implement new policies as needed.
