Serene Health Services is seeking a Manager in Training to oversee housekeeping operations in a healthcare setting. The role focuses on scheduling, training, safety, and ensuring clean, safe spaces for residents and staff.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and at least five years in supervisory housekeeping within a healthcare facility, with strong communication and staff-management skills. This is a full-time on-site position supporting the senior population.

• 5 years of supervisory housekeeping/janitorial experience in a healthcare facility.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to schedule and supervise staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating staffing schedules to ensure proper cleaning of offices, public spaces, residents' units, and grounds.
• Using cleaning chemicals safely and properly per guidelines and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Coordinating annual deep cleaning programs for resident units and common areas.
• Scheduling preparation of units for admissions.
• Conducting regular inspections and maintaining inventory control for supplies and equipment.
• Scheduling and conducting training sessions for housekeeping staff.
• Ability to hire your own staff.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating staffing schedules to ensure the proper cleaning of offices, public spaces, residents' units, and grounds
• Using cleaning chemicals safely and properly in accordance with the department guidelines and assuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety standards, MSDS, OSHA, EPA and other relevant rules and regulations
• Coordinating annual deep cleaning programs for both resident's units and common areas
• Scheduling the preparation of units for admissions
• Conducting regular inspection of all areas and maintaining inventory control systems for all supplies, chemicals, and equipment
• Scheduling and conducting training sessions and department meetings for housekeeping personnel
• Ability to higher your own staff
