Serene Services in Maryland is hiring a full-time Housekeeping Manager to lead the housekeeping department in a healthcare facility. You will hire and train staff, ensure proper coverage, and maintain cleanliness standards in line with state and federal guidelines.

The ideal candidate has 5 years of supervisory housekeeping experience in healthcare, a high school diploma or GED, strong communication and customer service skills, and a pleasant disposition for working with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staffing schedules to ensure proper cleaning of offices, public spaces, resident units, and grounds.
• Ensure safe and proper use of cleaning chemicals in line with guidelines and regulations.
• Coordinate annual deep cleaning programs for residents’ units and common areas.
• Schedule the preparation of units for admissions.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintain inventory of supplies, chemicals, and equipment.
• Schedule and conduct training sessions for housekeeping staff.
• Hire your own staff.

Director of Housekeeping responsibilities include:

As the Director of Housekeeping you will be responsible to conduct the housekeeping department. This includes hiring and training staff. Ensuring there is proper coverage in the facility at all times as structred.

Housekeeping Manager Qualifications:

• Experience working in housekeeping in LTC/SNF facility
• Previous housekeeping director experience preferred
• Leadership personality
• Must be knowledgeable of housekeeping practices, procedures, and guidelines pertaining to health care facilities.
