Job summary

Durango Casino & Resort is seeking a personable hotel operations supervisor to monitor Guest Room Attendants and supervise Status Board Operators to keep rooms cleaned and discrepancies reconciled.

You will ensure security of keys and radios, maintain equipment and inventory, oversee heavy cleaning projects, and conduct room inspections while coaching team members and ensuring OSHA training completion.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years management experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management.
• Ability to plan, organize and complete work under time constraints.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Guest Room Attendants to ensure productivity.
• Supervise Status Board Operators to ensure all available rooms are cleaned and discrepancies are reconciled.
• Maintain key, beeper and radio control; supervise equipment and inventory.
• Lead heavy cleaning projects for drapes, carpets, furniture and general cleaning.
• Conduct room inspections and evaluate performance of housekeeping staff.
• Coach Team Members and ensure OSHA training compliance.

Monitor Guest Room Attendants to ensure highest productivity levels. Supervise Status Board Operators to ensure all available rooms are cleaned and any discrepancies are reconciled. Maintain strict key, beeper and radio control. Maintain all housekeeping equipment and inventory. Monitor and track all heavy cleaning projects pertaining to drapes, carpets, furniture and general cleaning. Perform room inspections and evaluate the performance of Assistant Housekeeper, Guest Room Attendants, Housepersons and Uniform Room Attendants. Counsel Team Members in a positive and constructive manner as necessary. Ensure all Team Members successfully complete training in OSHA regulations. Communicate with all departments within the Hotel on all levels.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years management experience. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management. Ability to logically and independently plan, organize and complete work. Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to make progress and handle multiple assignments under time constraints. Provide support to staff and delegate job duties.
