Job summary

Aimbridge Hospitality is seeking a Housekeeping Manager for Residence Inn Fort Lauderdale Plantation to lead the Housekeeping Department, including rooms, public areas and laundry. You will supervise staff, ensure brand standards, manage payroll and train the team in safety and SOPs.

The role requires supervisory experience, strong communication, and the ability to work under pressure in a hotel environment. Full-time on-site position at Plantation, FL.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field; or a 2-year degree and 3+ years of related experience; or a 4-year degree and at least 1 year of related experience.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Must be proficient in Windows operating systems, Company approved spreadsheets and word processing.
• Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state.
• Must convey information clearly and solve problems quickly and accurately.
• Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and name tag.
• Comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations for safe and efficient operations.
• Establish and maintain a key control system for the department.
• Operate radios efficiently and professionally in communicating with hotel staff.
• Monitor and direct all Housekeeping and Laundry personnel.
• Inspect rooms daily and adjust staffing based on occupancy levels and GM approval.
• Review Housekeeping staff's worked hours for payroll and submit to accounting weekly.
• Prepare and conduct all Housekeeping interviews and hiring procedures.
